For the first time in history, Minister of the Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė opened the Lithuanian national pavilion at the Photonics West 2024 global laser exhibition in San Francisco, California, USA. A total of 23 companies from the country's laser sector are exhibiting at the show. 

During her visit to the US, Minister of the Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė met with Plug and Play CEO Saeed Amidi to discuss the launch of the programme in Lithuania and possible closer cooperation.

From the beginning of this year, Lithuanian retailers will be able to sell safe and wholesome food that has passed its use-by date for longer. The Ministry of the Economy and Innovation has drafted amendments to the Retail Trade Regulations, which set out detailed procedures and requirements for sellers to sell such food.
